Can you believe it's been 10 years since Planet Earth first dazzled us? Sir David Attenborough's landmark BBC production brought us some of the most stunning wildlife footage ever recorded and transformed the way we thought about the natural world.
And now it's back. Tonight on BBC One, Planet Earth II will show us penguins, sloths and monkeys like we've never seen them before, all set to a Hans Zimmer score, of course.
As we eagerly await the show, let's look back at some of the most incredible animal attacks from the last series.
Lions vs elephant
Watch and weep as 30 lions take on one poor elephant after the sun goes down. It's gnarly stuff.
Great white shark vs seal
It takes just a second for a great white to strike so they have helpfully slowed it down 40 times so you can get a better look at its technique.
Wolf vs caribou
Be moved to tears when this caribou calf gets mauled by a lone wolf, set against some stirring orchestral strings.
Polar bear vs walrus colony
This is a good one mainly because walruses have to be one of the funniest animals in the world right?
Chimpanzees vs chimpanzees
This chimp militia take on a rival group by ambushing them. Can't we all just get along?
Ducks vs mussels
OK, this one is slightly less aggressive but watch these ducks dive to the ocean floor for some lunch. And you thought they only ate bread.
Like what you see? How about some more R29 goodness, right here?
