Artwork by Ammiel Mendoza Having trouble getting to sleep at night? Of course you are! We're constantly told that none of us are getting enough sleep because we're all watching Netflix and staring at our phone screens. But actually, we think you'll find that there are a plethora of online videos designed to send you off to the land of nod.
Here are some of our favourites. Sweet dreams...
ASMR Sleep Fairy
If ASMR has an effect on you, then there is a whole WORLD of sleep tutorials on YouTube for you. I enjoyed this sleep fairy training which has plenty of hair brushing in. Brrrrrr, tingles.
Jeff Bridges' Sleeping Tapes
Last year, the Dude released an entire album to help you sleep. It's pretty bonkers. This 'track' consists of Jeff humming over sparse piano chords and the laughter of children. Download it from Dreaming With Jeff .
Hypnosis video
One of the most popular online sleep aid videos. Do what the man says and "relax".
Nature sounds
Eight hours of the sound of a running stream and birds tweeting = ZZZZZZZZ.
The sound of crickets
You can also pretend you're on holiday in the Med with this one.
Go The F*** To Sleep
Jeff Bridges isn't the only Hollywood star helping people get some kip. The Pulp Fiction star lends his celebrated voice to narrating the bestselling "children's book for adults". It's weirdly soothing.
"Weightless" by Marconi Union
This song topped a scientific list of relaxing pieces of music in 2011. Apparently the music can slow your heart rate, reduce blood pressure and decrease levels of cortisol – aka the stress hormone.
Delta Waves
This is a bit like the music they play when you're having a massage and we always sleep through those so it must be on to something.
Like what you see? How about some more R29 goodness, right here?
