Will it, won’t it? Can we trust the BBC? Or is AccuWeather the one? From convincing news of torrential downpours at the beginning of the week, to yesterday's optimistic sun ray emojis , the weather forecast for Glastonbury is well and truly up in the air.
'Be prepared to fail if you fail to prepare’ is one idiom worth listening to. Avoid the 2am panic come Wednesday night by clicking through our guide to surviving a wet ’n’ wild Glasto 2016.
Here are 10 tips for staying dry and happy without being the dummy who puts up an umbrella and spoils everyone’s view (and access to the bar).
1. Pool Slides + Waterproof Socks
Granted, Binx looks good in anything. But particularly in these socks and slides. If you go for a waterproof sock (surprisingly stylish ones here ) you could potentially swap heavy wellies for slides and socks. It would be a bold move, sure, but you’re a bold guy. And if you’re on a bold high, try these white Hunter slides (they also come in black.) Then if the sun does come up, just whip the socks off and you’re foot-tan ready. Although don’t be surprised if you’ve formed an attachment to the socks.

2. Bucket Hats
Are bucket hats cool? Am I cool enough to wear a bucket hat? These are two questions you don’t need to ask between the 22nd and 27th June in the Somerset area. The timing feels right, the girl in this picture looks fantastic, and Glastonbury is precisely the kind of free-thinking, four day event where you can trial an old-school brand bucket hat out. What are you waiting for?

3. Waterproof Rucksacks
Yes, it will cost more than your entire Glastonbury trip, but this waterproof Prada rucksack will see you through the next decade of short trips and festivals. And it’s camo which seems of a festival spirit. Alternatively, buy a multi-pack of bin liners and make an inside lining and an outside sack for your current rucksack. Bin liners also useful for sitting on wet mud because it’s day four and a sit down kind of band.

4. The Actually Nice Poncho
Cagoul has got to be the least sexy word ever. “Cag in a bag” hot on its heels. This adidas poncho is a world away – but just as practical. We like the sun logo too. Good one.

5. Wellington Boots
Unless you have the thighs of a goddess (which granted, Daisy Lowe does), wellies can be difficult. Our advice is keep it simple with a tall Hunter black, navy or bottle green classic which can actually be very flattering. Daisy’s styling with a jumpsuit and peeping bra is spot on. These shiny short ones are cute too!
Hunter Wellies, from £67
6. The Flannel
Imagine being cold, wet and wrecked. Now imagine face-diving a “natural bamboo and cotton blend washcloth that boosts circulation for silky soft skin" – under £5 from Liberty. Buy a pack of three, and you won’t regret it.
Liberty Natural Bamboo Washcloth, £4.50
7. The Water Defender!
If you’re going to entrust your body to a garment, make it the “Water Defender”, by Uniqlo . Probably not in white. The extra length will be useful for a bum cover sitting down too.
Uniqlo Water Defender, £69.90
8. The Long And Short Of It
For some freaks of nature, rain hair means next to nothing. It means a loose ponytail, a quick comb, a welcome wave. Good for you, guys. For others, it’s a different story. If you're tired of the battle and aren't of the "love your natural hair" disposition, silence the beast with a Brazilian blowdry. It's only £69 with a voucher (£80 without) at www.alteritystudio.co.uk
Or, if you’ve got nimble fingers, you could try a halo plait (pictured). It’s very “festival”, and will give you another day before having to hit the Glasto showers!

Waterproof mascara is sensible but stubborn, so it’s a toss up between looking the wrong side of rock chick and spending, like, three minutes removing it in a pocket mirror with a torch in your mouth before bedtime. If you can find some no-fuss makeup remover that won’t leak all over your socks, bring some waterproof mascara. YSL is our wand of choice and blue is the warmest colour!

10. An Über Account
If it is a total washout, and you can handle the judgment of 200,000 festival goers, there’s always Uber...
