How many lipsticks do you own? Just a few tubes that have been knocking around the bottom of your bag since the dawn of time? Well, the average woman owns 20, so if your collection is slightly lacking or knackered, Charlotte Tilbury 's new Hot Lips launch might just be exactly what your makeup bag needs. The legendary makeup artist's beauty brand is the fastest-growing of all time and her latest release – coming to a beauty counter near you next month – features 12 lipstick shades in collaboration with a dozen of Charlotte's closest celebrity friends and clients: Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman, Kim Kardashian, Poppy Delevingne, Helena Bonham Carter, Carina Lau, Laura Bailey, Salma Hayek, Cindy Crawford, Liv Tyler, Emily Ratajkowski and Kate Bosworth. And it really doesn't get more glamorous than that.

But it does gets better. Not only can you now have lips like your favourite star but £1 from each lipstick sale goes to the charity Women For Women International and each of the 12 celebrities has been matched with a 'sister', meaning that they are directly sponsoring a woman who has been affected by war.

Over the past 23 years, Women For Women International has helped almost half a million marginalised women in war-torn countries by educating females about their rights as well as educating them with essential life, vocational and business skills to help them escape poverty.

Additionally, the celebrities will also all be involved in a #lipstickconfidence social media campaign throughout July to further promote the charitable cause and product launch. Tilbury explained at a preview of the covetable new collection: "Lipstick is powerful. It has the ability to completely change your state of mind: It can boost your confidence, pick you up when you’re feeling down, re-energise you, add instant glamour to any outfit and immediately enhance your beauty – there’s happiness in every tube! With Hot Lips I want to celebrate the mood-enhancing power of lipstick by creating a shade that captures the personality of each of the 12 incredible women that I admire, and in so doing raise awareness for an amazing charity, Women For Women."

So which is the shade for you? From postbox red to the most flattering nude, the new line boasts a selection of colours that caters for every lipstick need. Click ahead for the low down on the lipsticks of your favourite female stars which you can add to your own makeup collection very soon...

Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips launches at Charlotte Tilbury's flagship store and on Charlottetilbury.com on June 27th and nationwide from July 4th, priced at £23 each.

Miranda Kerr's colour called Miranda May after the model's middle name is in the words of Tilbury "corally pink, very fresh, inspired by Malibu bondi beach and makes her blue eyes pop." This is the perfect pink if you're a lipstick newbie and looking for a summer shade.

Tilbury has "always had a crush on Nicole Kidman as a fellow redhead" and adores the actress' "pre-Raphaelite, sensual beauty." Us too. Kidman's Kiss is a just-kissed rose petal pink and a subtle shade to softly enhance a casual outfit.

The '90s revival is the gift that just keeps giving and we're still seeking makeup inspiration from the original supermodels as well as stars like Drew Barrymore and Gwen Stefani. The taupe-y, '90s shade of Super Cindy recreates Crawford's iconic all American, glowing beauty and that perfect pout.

With Bosworth's Beauty Charlotte Tilbury offers a retro vintage candy pink shade which captures the duality of Kate Bosworth's style that is both chic and laid-back. The makeup artist enthused: "She has a Grace Kelly glamour but also looks totally comfortable at Glasto." That's our kinda girl.

As the daughter of rock legend, Steve Tyler, actress Liv Tyler's lipstick is suitably titled Liv It Up and has a blueish tinge to the pastel colour.

Hot Emily, aptly named after model and actress Emily Ratakjowski who is frequently lauded as one of the world's sexiest women, is a '70s coral colour inspired by Charlie's Angels which "lifts the skin beautifully," according to Charlotte. For those brunettes not sure whether to go for a bright red or an orangey coral, this is a happy medium. If it's good enough for Hot Emily...

Model and London fashion face Laura Bailey's lippy Tell Laura is a quintessentially British shade in a geranium red, encapsulating the model's "irreverent, eclectic English style."

Charlotte has known the Delevingne girls since they were young and on holiday Poppy always wears a statement lip. Electric Poppy was named after the model's effervescent personality and is a cerise cherry colour. It works just as well pared down with jeans as on the red carpet.

Helena Bonham Carter's Hell's Bells is a rich magenta mulberry shade as only an unconventional hue would do for the beloved, eccentric Brit actress. "It's inspired by Helena's quintessentially quirky style. The deep wine-hued lipstick is both gothic and eclectic."

For Secret Salma, Charlotte "wanted to capture the plummy hue of Latin lips in a bullet." If it can make us look half as sultry as Salma Hayek, we're sold.

For the Chinese-born, Hong-Kong based actress and superstar, Carina Lau, Charlotte has created a 1930s silver screen siren pillar box red, called Carina's Love. Throw away all your old scarlet shades immediately and upgrade to this glamorous hue.

Kim K.W. is Charlotte's favourite shade in the collection: "When I look at Kim Kardashian, she's a modern day beauty icon, a wonderful, kind, very intelligent person. She reminds me of Raquel Welch; such a dolce vita woman with the easiest face in the world to make up. As the queen of the nude lip we wanted something with a retro feel, that's a little bit more pink than nude Kate [Moss] and Kim emailed to say she hasn't stopped wearing it."

Move over Kylie Jenner, your big sis has just trumped your lip kit with the new makeup must have of the year.
