How To Wear Athleisure Well

While many of fashion's most famous campaign and catwalk stars play it safe in the standard off-duty model look of skinny jeans, a vest and a leather jacket, Victoria's Secret newest recruit and Moschino regular Leomie Anderson has garnered a massive following for her idiosyncratic style which fuses sports luxe with strong silhouettes and an overall tomboy aesthetic. Leomie documents her coveted streetwear style on her blog Cracked China Cup (warning: you'll be hooked) when she's not flitting between New York and London for major modelling jobs.

"Finally, a trend where you don't have to pick style over comfort!" Anderson explains. "Athleisure (officially added to the dictionary recently) is all about incorporating sportswear elements into your look without it looking like you're leaving the gym. There are many ways to give your outfit an athleisurely touch, check out my guide here..."

Steal your boyfriend's sweater

With athleisure, don't be afraid to shop in the men's departments or a guy's wardrobe you can steal from! Oversized is good and works well with a pair of skinny jeans.

Ditch your jumper and grab a hoodie

Instead of your usual knitted jumper, opt for a comfy, zipless hoodie. It's an easy way to add a sporty touch to an outfit and keep you warm at the same time. You can give your look a more polished touch by styling with a peacoat but I go for the more casual biker.

The smart tracksuit

I live in tracksuits every other day; they are no longer just for the road man! You can find tracksuits with a slimmer fit so you're not drowning in jersey and accessorise with a cute beanie.

The designer sneaker

Athleisure doesn't mean you have to wear your gym trainers to dinner, you can opt for a luxury sneaker instead to upgrade your outfit. I'm wearing a pair from Valentino in a Stan Smith inspired silhouette.

Layer it up

Hoodies are the perfect option for layering during the winter months while keeping the sportsluxe feel. I love this camo hoodie by Nike which adds a pop of colour to my fur.
