Nothing gets us ready for summer like the 1995 coming-of-age film Now and Then . As much a fashion moment as it was a story about female friendship, Now and Then taught us that BFFs of all styles could hang together. Sam, Roberta, Teeny, and Chrissy certainly made fashion waves. And remember their spats with the Wormers ? "Your wit astounds me."
It's time to revisit the classic. No one knows how to dress for bike rides and road trips like these girls did, and every one of their summer outings gave us another reason to pull out our favourite scrunchies. They were the epitome of girl power pre-iPhone era, trendsetters ahead of their time. And — luckily for us — the '90s are trending .
Ahead, we're revisiting every style moment of the feel-good movie that you might have missed. Grab your pudding and take notes.
Florals Will Always Be Groundbreaking
"Uh-oh...canopy up? Canopy down. Is that the right way?" Chrissy's mum opened with mere seconds before obliterating her daughter's youth with the birds-and-the-bees talk (and calling her friends "trash mouths").
But while this was going on, we couldn't take our eyes off those florals. Sorry, Miranda — Mrs. DeWitt called it first.

Thanks to the supermodels of today, tummy is in. But we all know tummy has always been in?
Just look at Samantha perched atop our dream tree house in that black number with the white lace trim. No, that's not Karl Lagerfeld surveying the plebeians that flock to the Grand Palais for his shows each season — just Sam and her pals straight-up chillin'.
(Also, can we all just look at Teeny for a second?)

Remember when the girls were on a hunt to bring back Dear Johnny so they conjured up the subtle idea of holding a séance at his grave only to bring on a torrential downpour and then fall into a sewer and be rescued by Dear Johnny's father, Crazy Pete?
Yeah, that has nothing to do with fashion, but man...that scene was crazy .
Anyway, take a look at these house robes. Disregard the fact that the girls are like, 10 years old and wearing your grandmother's favourite frocks before the Olsen Twins did — just try your hardest to focus on how epic-great they look.
We have Roberta with the print clashing, Samantha giving Sleepy Jones a run for its money, Teeny singlehandedly planting the colour yellow into Beyoncé's mind before Jay-Z someone gave her those damn lemons to make Lemonade, and finally, Chrissy with the curlers.

If you didn't look at this photo and hear BBHMM playing full-volume somewhere in your head, then take yourself to the nearest thrift store and get lost. Just kidding. But really, Demi Moore and Melanie Griffith as grown-up Sam and Teeny make us want to scrap our work wardrobes and start all over.
Power dressing — whether it be for the boardroom or the bedroom — is not in the eye of the beholder. That shit comes from within. And with these two, what you see is what you get. March into your office next week and wave your leopard-print flag so high they won't know what hit them.

Rita Wilson is to baby-doll dresses as Alexa Chung is to, well, the same thing. Sure, the latter may prefer Chanel, but we also love Wilson's boudoir version.
Getting ready is a ritual, and as demonstrated here, grown-up Chrissy is Snapchat-ready in her floral sack. Own that collar, girl.

Here, you'll find the greatest people you will ever meet in the most fun button-ups known to man.

Just when you thought Regina George tricked you into believing your hair looks sexy pushed back, we're here to remind you who did it first. Check out Roberta's stellar side-eye as Teeny explained her secret to instant cleavage.
But really, check out that headband. Sure, this looks more like a sweatband than a hair accessory, but we're still revelling in its athleisure splendour. Imagine one of these with a luxury tracksuit? Ooh la la .
Photo: Everett Collection. The Higher The Skirt...
...the closer to God? Isn't that how the saying goes? Who cares. Grown-up Teeny matured into the street style star of the group, and her Hollywood looks stole our attention every time she barged on-screen.
But something about this look is so ahead of its time (namely, Saint Laurent couture 2016 ) that we can't look away.
Photo: Everett Collection. When Casual Fridays Were Practical Fridays
For some reason or another (perhaps due to photos like this), we always thought the jeans-and-a-white-T-shirt look works best in a group shot. And apart from, say, a Calvin Klein advertisement from the '90s, this photo of the Now & Then family is #goals.
Make like Roberta and go casual (or go the fuck home).
