Do you ever look in the mirror and think, good grief, my skin could do with some TLC? Yep, us too. No matter how much beauty sleep you get on average, how much water you drink and how good your diet is, a few late nights, a bit too much fun and a gruelling work schedule can play havoc on your complexion. Enter stage left Clarins' new remedying skincare Boosters, developed especially to target and combat specific skin concerns.

But before you groan at the prospect of adding another product to your carefully curated regime, the Clarins Boosters simply need to be mixed in with your favourite face cream, mask or foundation. Fuss-free, just pop in 3-5 drops to an existing product and you're good to go, plus glow. As easy to apply as they are to throw into your bag as you're running out of the door for work, these three tiny tubes deliver big results. One tackles fatigued skin, another repairs weakened skin and the third detoxes a congested complexion.

Ahead of the launch and in need of some skin loving, we gave the new products a little road test ourselves. Click on to see the results.

Every day I tell myself: tonight is going to be the night that I have eight hours sleep but alas, it's yet to become a reality and is still very much a pipe dream. Most mornings I have a breakfast meeting or press launch meaning I have to scramble out of the house way before 8am and the majority of evenings I have an event or work dinner, meaning I get home after 11 (and sometimes a little bit tipsy. Sorry Mum).

I'm very lucky in that I love my job but I'm less enamoured with my skin which definitely reflects my busy lifestyle. I have a strict skincare regime that I follow every morning and evening that has taken years to hone but I'm always on the look out for a holy grail product to add that can save my skin when I've worked* too hard - case in hand over fashion weeks. So praise be for the Clarins Booster Energy containing Ginseng, which tones and reenergises skin, minimises signs of fatigue and revives radiance. I'm often wary of products that promise to really revitalise but the results with this were instant and it's super quick to use. Win win for the skin.

Okay, I admit, I am not unique on claiming, 'I like to go on holiday'. But I really really do. Since the day I started working, every spare penny (which, as a 21 year old fashion assistant was basically zilch) was dedicated to hitting the beach and basking in the sun in a far flung and exotic location. In fact, I like it so much, I set up Beach Tomato, a whole website devoted to the beach. Yes, the perks were working from the beach - it was a hard job, but someone had to do it!

However, at the ripe old age of 34, I am seriously feeling the impact. The backlash from days spent surfing in salty water and overindulging in sun can be seen in my skin. But, am I going to give up my need to check off that travel bucket list? Not a chance. Luckily Clarins Booster Repair is my new favourite holiday companion. Containing the Mayan medicinal plant Mimosa Tenuiflora extract known for being restorative and repairing, this handy little booster helps my skin regain its strength and repair itself. So, it's now just my bank balance that hold's the tell tale sign of my holiday addiction, not my skin.

As much as it irks me to write this - I cannot, quite simply, cannot say no to a party. So don’t ever feel flattered by my attendance (just kidding) but an opportunity to get dressed up, dance around a room all night long and hang out with my besties is an opportunity I will not pass up. Part of my job (because I’m very jammy) is socialising; meeting new people, attending press events and staying up late. Which, is, in short, loads of fun but terrible news for my skin.

Unsurprisingly, I don’t have the time, energy or dedication to go on a detox. That’s just not plausible. So my Clarins Booster Detox is my best friend. I keep it in my makeup bag and mix it with my tinted moisturiser or face cream and it does all the deep-breathing, few hours extra sleeping and water drinking that I cannot do. The Green Coffee extract keeps my skin looking perky and keeps my pesky under-eye bags in retreat. Any over indulging I’ve been doing is usually left written on my WhatsApp conversation threads and no longer on my face…

If, like the Refinery29 team, your lifestyle is getting the best of your skin, panic not. Adding a few drops of one of these Clarins Booster to your moisturiser, foundation or face mask will turbo charge your skin care routine, whatever your indulgences.

Workaholic? Well, you'll see the effects in your skin as well as your social life, sadly. However, the new Clarins Booster Energy contains Ginseng extract, known to re-energise your skin to give you that radiant complexion you crave.

If being a sun worshipper has caught up with you (damnit!), simply add the Clarins Booster Repair to your skin care routine. Jam packed with Mimosa Tenuiflora extract, this secret ingredient helps your skin recover and eradicate signs of damage, but keep you glowing.

We all know the scenario; you should stay home, you should not go out, you should not have another drink. Alas, what you should do and what you will do don't generally match up. So, if too much partying has caught up with you, the Clarins Booster Detox is your day-after-the-night-before new best friend. With Green Coffee extract, known for being detoxifying, this little hero will plump the skin up and give you a dose of that much needed radiance.
